Mixed Media Art Dolls
Cindy Riccardelli makes art doll sculptures that range from the whimsical to the forlorn, sometimes sophisticated and sometimes primitive. They evoke a range of emotions drawn from a library of memories gathered from six decades of people watching. Currently, she divides her studio time between doll making and painting; going back and forth between the two helps to keep her creative process fresh. Over the years, many of her dolls and paintings have found new homes with collectors across the United States, Europe and Australia.
Cindy is an animal lover and native New Englander who has also lived for a time in Scotland; where her first daughter was born, and more recently the mountains of western North Carolina; where she lived for eleven years and was a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. She currently lives in the hills of Vermont with her two cats. When she is not making art in her home studio; she is doing house and garden maintenance, fixing up her fixer upper, or visiting grandkids.
