Weaving
I am a retired technology educator living at the end of a dirt road in Southern Vermont. Over the past 30+ years knitting and fiber have been my love, but during the past seven years weaving has become my passion. As a self taught weaver I am fortunate enough to be able to spend my days exploring my passion. The unique interactions of fiber, pattern, and color allow me to explore endless interactions of complexity and intrigue with eight or more shafts. My looms are on the second floor where I can look out over the hills and draw inspiration from the nature around me. I love functional dish towels, blankets, rugs, scarves made from a variety of fibers including wool, tencel, bamboo, and cotton. Each piece is designed, warped, woven, and finished by me. Currently I am the Vice-president of the Vermont Weavers Guild as well as being a member of both the New Hampshire and the Boston Weavers Guilds.
